SHARJAH – Thirteen people were fined after a special police force caught them playing cricket in an unlicensed playground in Sharjah.
According to police, the group ignored precautionary measures against the spread of Covid-19 and played cricket in a sandy area.
A Sharjah Police official said that special police patrols have been deployed to carry out spot inspections and catch individuals who ignore Covid-19 rules in the emirate.
Violators will face legal action, police said while urging the public to report any violation through the hotline 901 or via email to [email protected] ICA/Expat Media
