DUBAI – While the UAE has been ranked as the world’s most powerful passport of 2021, where do the Philippines and India rank in the latest Global Passport Index?
The Global Passport Index, released by Arton Capital, is a global passport ranking based on ease of international travel and visa-free travel for passport holders.
The UAE passport claimed the top spot for the highest mobility score for its passport holder.
UAE passport holders have visa-free entry to 152 countries, compared to holders of world’s weakest passports that can only provide visa-free access to between 32 to 37 countries.
But where do the Philippine and India passports come in the global rankings?
India came in 148th place out of 199 passports ranked, while the Philippines followed closely in the 149th spot.
India passport holders have visa-free access to 56 countries, and visa on arrival to 36 countries. Its passport holders can’t visit 142 countries unless they get a visa.
Philippine passport holders get visa-free travel to 56 countries and visa on arrival to 37. However, Philippine passport holders are required to get a visa before they can enter 142 countries, which includes the UAE.
