UAE weather alert: More rain forecast

More rain is forecast in the UAE after rainfall was reported in parts of the UAE on Thursday (February).

On Thursday morning, residents woke up to water puddles on the roads and wet pavements after moderate to heavy rain hit Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, and Sharjah.

According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), more rainfall is expected on Friday. Here’s the 5-day weather forecast

Thursday, February 1

Partly cloudy to cloudy at times over some areas, especially Northern and Eastern areas, with rainfall. Light to moderate winds, freshening especially over the sea causing blowing dust and sand. The sea will be moderate to rough in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in the Oman Sea.

Friday, February 2

Partly cloudy to cloudy at times, accompanied with some convective clouds over some Northern and Eastern areas, with a chance of rainfall, and a decrease in temperatures especially westward. Moderate to fresh Southeasterly, becoming Northwesterly winds, and strong especially over the sea causing blowing dust and sand causing reduction in horizontal visibility, with a speed of 20 – 35 reaching 55 Km/hr. The sea will be rough to very rough in the Arabian Gulf and moderate to rough in Oman Sea.

Saturday, February 3

Partly cloudy in general and hazy at times. With a significant decrease in temperatures. Moderate to fresh Northwesterly winds, and strong especially over the sea causing blowing dust and sand, with a speed of 20 – 35 reaching 55 Km/hr. The sea will be very rough in the Arabian Gulf and rough in Oman Sea.

Sunday, February 4

Partly cloudy in general and hazy at times. Moderate to fresh Northwesterly winds, and strong especially over the sea causing blowing dust and sand, with a speed of 20 – 35 reaching 55 Km/hr. The sea will be very rough to rough in the Arabian Gulf and rough to moderate in the Oman Sea.

Monday, February 5

Partly cloudy in general and hazy at times. Moderate to fresh Northwesterly winds especially over the sea causing blowing dust, with a speed of 15 – 25 reaching 40 Km/hr. The sea will be rough in the Arabian Gulf and rough to moderate in the Oman Sea.
