The Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) published a social media notice on Tuesday alerting locals of a new scam that encourages them to click on links to pay ‘delivery costs’ for courier shipments.
The communications appear to be from well-known courier businesses.
The TDRA has advised consumers not to click on such links, instead checking the status of any package through the company’s official website or app.
The Authority stated that it has identified and blocked the source of such bogus emails.
