UAE visa on arrival guide: Citizens from 76 countries eligible

Citizens of 76 countries can get visa on arrival into the UAE, with visa valid for 14 days, 30 days, 90 days and up to 180 days.

According to the UAE Digital GovernmenT (DGov), a 14-day visa on arrival is also available for Indian citizens with a US visit visa or green visa, or a UK or EU residence visa. The visa can be extended for 14 days.

According to DGov, the list of countries eligible for visa on arrival may vary from time to time, so it advised travelers to check their eligibility on visitdubai.com.

30-day UAE visa on arrival

Visa information
– The visa on arrival is valid for 30 days from the date of entry.
– This is a multi-entry visa. The visa holder can consume the 30-day validity regardless of whether they are inside or outside the UAE – days spent outside the UAE are calculated from the 40-day validity of the visa.
– There is a 10-day grace period for extension.
– If extended, the total validity would be 60 days from the date of entry.
– Passport must be valid for more than six months

90-day UAE visa on arrival

Visa information
• No visa arrangements are required in advance.
• The visa upon arrival is valid for 90 days from the date of entry.
• The visa is extendable.
• Passports should be normal and valid for more than six months.

180-day UAE visa on arrival

Visa information
• No visa arrangements are required in advance.
• The visa upon arrival is valid for 180 days from the date of entry.
• The visa is extendable.
• Passports should be normal and valid for more than six months.

Citizens eligible:
Citizens of Mexico can obtain a visa on arrival valid for 180 days.

Free eVisa

If you are a citizen of a GCC country, you do not need a visa or sponsor to visit the UAE. GCC residents including those accompanying GCC nationals will need to arrange an online visa before arriving to UAE.
You can apply for the eVisa on the UAE Ministry of Interior’s online visa portal. Once approved, the eVisa will be sent to the applicant’s registered email.

The GCC resident entry permit is valid for 30 days from issue date for a stay of 30 days. This can be extended by a further 30 days. A companion entry permit is valid for 60 days from issue date for a duration of 60 days. This can be extended for 60 days.

Citizens eligible
Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar

Requirements:
• Valid GCC residency for at least 3 months from date of arrival
• Passports with at least 3 months validity from arrival date
• Obtaining an eVisa before you travel to UAE is a must. GCC residents or citizens who are sponsoring a non-resident will not receive application approval if the sponsor is not accompanying the guest upon entry.

14-day UAE visa on arrival for Indians

Citizens of India may require a prearranged UAE visa.
 
Indian nationals with the following documentation can obtain a visa on arrival for a maximum stay of 14 days for a charge of Dh120. They can also apply to extend their stay for an additional 14 days for Dh250.
• Visit visa issued by the USA
• Green card issued by the USA
• Residence visa issued by the UK
• Residence visa issued by the EU

If you do not have any of the above, you will need to apply for a visa via the following:
• Airlines such as Emirates, FlyDubai, Etihad Airways and Air Arabia
• Hotel or travel partners with whom you have booked a trip. They can apply for a Service Visa (14 days), Tourist Visa (30 days) or Visit Visa (up to 90 days).
• Other organisations based in the UAE
• UAE residents (friends or relatives) can apply on your behalf subject to guidelines.
• Visit the Dubai Department of Naturalisation & Residency website to find out more about other types of sponsors, such as hotels or companies.
