DUBAI – With summer kicking in and a long Eid Al Fitr break coming up, we round up some of the exciting entertainment and shopping offers in the UAE.
What: Philippine Independence Day offer
When: June 12 to 15
Where: Dubai Parks and Resorts
Filipino expatriates in the UAE can enjoy entry to Dubai Parks and Resorts for only Dh39 from June 12 to 15. The promotion is part of the theme park’s Philippine Independence Day offer.
Guests will be able to access three theme parks, including Hollywood-inspired Motiongate, Bollywood Parks and Legoland Dubai. They will also have free access to themed zones and numerous shops and restaurants at Riverland Dubai. A Filipino buffet at Mr. Ping’s restaurant in Motiongate will also be available for Dh35. Filipino expats can book their tickets online, and must present their emirates ID at the gate.

When: June 2 to 9
Tickets: Dh225 (annual weekday pass) or Dh365 (annual weekend pass)
With the summer heat kicking in, Laguna Waterpark is having a “Splash Sale” from June 2 to 9, with prices starting from Dh225 for unlimited year-long weekday access.
UAE residents can choose from either an annual weekday pass for Dh225 or an annual weekend pass for Dh365, valid for one year from date of purchase.
The waterpark also offers unlimited re-entry, meaning visitors can wander La Mer’s artsy alleyways and explore the abundance of shops and cafes the area is renowned for.
Laguna Waterpark features a thrilling slide-tower complex for daredevils, the regions first WaveOz 180 FlowRider, a dedicated kid’s zone, a lazy river and plenty of chilled out vibes. Tickets can be purchased online through www.lagunawaterpark.com or at the ticket counter from June 2.
Prices of perfumes, jewellery, clothing, branded items and more will be slashed down as part of the Eid Al Fitr sale at Dubai Duty Free.
The tax-free shop at the Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport said that it will offer a 20-percent discount on a wide range of products from May 30 to June 2.
What: Mega Sale
When: June 5
Where: Yas Mall, Abu Dhabi
On June 5, the 24-hour Mega Sale returns to Yas Mall, with discounts on numerous brands. Plus, shoppers will also get VAT rebates on purchases of Dh1,000 or above.
Shop at Manar Mall until June 4 to win a stunning seaview apartment in Al Hamra Village in Ras Al Khaimah. Shoppers only need to spend Dh150 or more in the Ras Al Khaimah mall to enter the draw. Every day, five shoppers will also get the chance to win cash vouchers of Dh1,000 each.
What: Eid Al Fitr at The Galleria
When: May 31 to June 6, 3pm to 9pm
The Galleria Al Maryah Island will have a host of festivities for Eid Al Fitr from May 31 to June 6. Guests can discover henna art, children’s face painting, sand art, lantern making, Ayyalah dance performances and more. The first 100 visitors each day can take home souvenirs such as personalised Arabic calligraphy and bespoke sand bottle creations, marking it the perfect way to spend time with family and friends this Eid.
