UAE authority shares 5 steps to get entry permit, update residency info

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) has indicated that five steps must be performed for an entry permit to the UAE to be issued quickly and smoothly via the ICP’s website (www.icp.gov.ae) or its smart app UAE ICP.

These steps include registering and creating an account via UAE PASS or entering electronic services if you are already registered; selecting the ‘issuing an entry permit’ service; submitting the application, reviewing and updating the retrieved data and paying the fees, and finally receiving the permit via the customer’s registered email, according to the ICP.

Furthermore, a customer must follow five procedures to have residency data amended through individual or corporate accounts or typing offices via the ICP’s website, www.icp.gov.ae, or its smart app, UAE ICP.

According to the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security, a customer’s process to have residence data modified through an individual or corporate account entails logging in to the account and creating a new one, submitting an application to have his residence data changed, attaching service requirements, paying fees and guarantees, if any, and then sending the application.

The application will then be reviewed by ICP personnel before being submitted to the customer with an approval notice.

To have his residency data amended through type offices, a client must visit an accredited typing office across the country, submit an application to have his residence data modified, attach service needs, pay the fees and guarantees, if any, and then send the application, the ICP said.

When an application is received, the ICP staff will review it before sending an approval notice to the customer.

To save time and effort, the ICP encouraged all consumers, including citizens, residents, and visitors, to use its electronic and smart services, which are available on its website and smart app. as an option to visit one of its customer support centers.

To avoid delays in completing the transaction on time, the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security emphasized the importance of a customer ensuring that his ID number and expiry date in the renewal or replacement application, as well as his data entered in the electronic form, are correct before paying the fees.

A customer must also ensure that his phone number, email, and delivery method, as mentioned in the electronic form, are correct, the ICP said, noting that all the inputted data are reviewed and checked by the ICP. BKM/ Expat Media
