The remote work residence visa is one of the latest visa options that the UAE has implemented to allow foreigners to live in the country while work for an overseas company.
The remote work residence visa or remote residence permit grants holders a one-year residence visa in the UAE. Here’s all you need to know:
The remote residency visa allows employees to live in the UAE but work for a company based outside the country. The visa will be under self-sponsorship.
It will allow you to rent a house in the UAE, open a bank account, sponsor family members and send your children to school.
It is valid for one year, and can be renewed for another year.
Applicants must show an employment contract valid for one year and showing that they are remote employees for a company based outside the UAE. They must earn a salary of at least $5,000 (Dh18,250) per month and show the latest salary slip and three months’ worth of bank statements. They must also have a passport valid for at least six months, and health insurance that covers medical costs in the UAE.
Yes. Holders of the remote residence visa can also sponsor family members. Their visa validity will be the same as the sponsor.
