UAE public holidays in 2020: 4 more days left

DUBAI – After celebrating the Hijri New Year with a holiday on Sunday (August 23), UAE residents have four more public holidays left before the year 2020 ends.

When is the next holiday? In four months. The next holiday will be on October 29 (Thursday) to mark Prophet Mohammed’s birthday.

Then an extended three-day break is expected as the UAE marks Commemoration Day on December 1.

This will be followed with holidays on December 2 and 3 to celebrate UAE National Day.

It is expected that leave days for the holidays will be the same for both public and private sector employees, after a UAE Cabinet decision on the matter in 2019. ICA/Expat Media
