DUBAI – The UAE has approved the official holidays for public and private sector workers for 2021 and 2022.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, approved the holidays on Saturday (December 19).
• January 1, 2021 – New Year
• 29 Ramadan until 3 Shawwal 1442 – Eid Al Fitr
• 9 Dhu Al Hijjah 1442 – Day of Arafat
• 10-11 -12 Dhu Al-Hijjah 1442 – Eid Al Adha
• 1 Muharram 1443 – Hijri New Year holiday (to move to August 12, 2021)
• 12 Rabi` Al Awwal 1443 – Prophet’s birthday (to move to October 21, 2021)
• December 1, 2021 – Commemoration Day
• December 2 and 3, 2021 – UAE National Day
• January 1, 2022 – New Year
• 29 Ramadan until 3 Shawwal 1443 – Eid Al Fitr
• 9 Dhu Al Hijjah 1443 – Day of Arafat
• 10-11 -12 Dhu Al Hijjah 1443 – Eid Al Adha
• July 30, 2022 – New Hijri Year 1444.
