After launching the Golden Visa, could a 10-year Golden Business Licence be next to be introduced in the UAE?

The idea was discussed during the recent Economic Integration Committee meeting attended by Minister of Economy Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri and Minister of State for Foreign Trade Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, along with other senior officials.

According to reports, the UAE government is considering offering a Golden Business Licence that will be valid for up to 10 years. It was also considering a five-year Silver Business Licence.

On Wednesday (March 27), the committee discussed that the long-term business licences could be made available at “competitive prices”.

Minister of Economy Al Marri said that offering flexible and competitive business licences would help boost business in the UAE and make it more attractive to investors and talents.
He noted that the number of companies in the UAE has increased to more than 788,000 by the end of 2023, reflecting the country’s healthy economy.

Currently, the Golden Visa is the single long-term visa being offered in the UAE and is valid for 10 years. The Golden Visa is available to entrepreneurs, property owners, investors, skilled professionals and outstanding students. ICA/Expat Media
