The MV Logos Hope will arrive in Dubai soon and open to book lovers from April 18 to April 23. It will be in Abu Dhabi on May 17 and port there until June 4. Entry is free.
The last time the MV Logos Hope came to the country was over ten years ago. Over 5,000 English and Arabic books were brought when it last visited in 2013. It now promises a huge number of new titles in addition to a wide range of cultural performances.
The floating book fair is back in the UAE and is now escorting bookworms up its gangways at Ras Al Khaimah.
Since April 11, book lovers in Ras Al Khaimah have been perusing the ship’s racks and stacks of books. Before moving to other emirates, the fair will remain in Ras Al Khaimah until April 16.
MV Logos Hope is operated by GBA Ships and is a globally recognized charity with German registration. The organization has hosted more than 49 million visitors since 1970 in more than 150 different nations and territories.
The ship had just returned from Basra, Iraq, where it had made its first-ever voyage and had delighted over 90,000 book lovers by bringing them knowledge and joy.
The ship, its crew, and volunteers from all over the world want “to share knowledge, help and hope in every port we visit.” KD/Expat Media
