UAE: Gang faces trial after stealing 233 phones, 25 laptops

Four Uzbek gang members are now facing trial for stealing 233 mobile phones and 25 laptops from a shipping company’s warehouse in Dubai Free Zone.

iPhones, Samsung Galaxy phones, and MacBooks were stolen.

The company manager reported the theft to the Dubai Airport Police Station on May 15.

CID arrived at the crime scene and found the warehouse had been broken into. CCTV cameras showed the culprits using a lever to open the warehouse shutter at 2 pm.

After an hour, the group exited the warehouse with the stolen goods, loaded them into a GMC, and escaped.

The police then investigated and arrested the suspects. One of the suspects was caught at Dubai Airport attempting to flee. He confessed and gave the cops the location of the other members. The police arrested them all and referred them to Public Prosecution. BKM/ Expat Media
