UAE educational institutions ordered to enhance learning of Emirati culture

All UAE educational institutions have received orders to step up their efforts to help students develop their sense of national identity, Emirati culture, good values, and Arabic language.

Students from the public and private sectors at all levels, from early childhood through higher education, must be included in the national educational curricula, programs, and teaching strategies.

The directive was issued on Saturday (August 13) by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Head of the Council for Education and Human Resources.

The framework strives to build the Emirati national identity, cultural values, and positive traits of the students through a series of activities, contests, events, school outings, and workshops in collaboration with the relevant departments.

According to Sheikh Abdullah, the history of the Emirati country is filled with accomplishments, experiences, and success stories that can broaden pupils’ knowledge and impart moral lessons, wholesome values, useful skills, and wisdom.

These teachings will aid students in making choices that will help them become future leaders and valuable members of UAE society.

He emphasized the value of learning from the experiences and knowledge of well-known national figures who are familiar with the history of the United Arab Emirates. BKM/ Expat Media
