UAE discontinues 3-month visit visa

The UAE has discontinued the issuance of 3-month visit visas, the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security (ICP) confirmed.

On its website, the option to apply for the visa is no longer available. Under Public Services, only Golden Visa, jobseeker visa and 5-year tourist visa are available.

Dubai-based travel agency Geoffrey Travel confirmed that the issuance of the 3-month or 90-day visit visa has been discontinued.

“It appeared to have been discontinued since it is no longer available in the general system. For now, we can assist residents in applying for a 30-day visit visa or 60-day visit visa for their family,” Geoffrey Travel told Expatmedia.net.

Tourist visa options

Meanwhile, the ICP is offering a 30-day Tourist Visa for Dh410 as well as a multiple entry Tourist Visa valid for 30 days for approximately Dh510. The 30-day multi-entry tourist visa “can be extended twice for each period of 30 days,” according to the ICP.

At the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA), tourist can apply for a single-entry Tourist Visa valid for 90 days. The visa can be extended twice for a period of 30 days per extension. The visa allows the holder to enter and exit the UAE during this period. This visa costs an estimated Dh700. ICA/Expat Media
