A UAE-based bank has issued a warning to the public to beware of online job scams and bogus investment deals.
In an SMS to customers, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) warned that fraudsters are targeting job seekers and investors.
“Fraudsters post fake job and investment offers on job portals, social media and via direct marketing channels, targeting people to pay for securing a job or investing for quick profits,” according to ADIB.
“Always cross check the senders’ information and remember that no employer would ask you for money to secure a job offer,” ADIB added.
Authorities have repeatedly warned UAE residents to wary when responding to job ads and investment deals. Police have asked the public to report violators immediately. ICA/Expat Media
