UAE’s first labour market award for domestic workers, labourers

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emratisation (MOHRE) has announced the UAE’s first Emirates Labour Market Award to recognize best performing workers and companies.

The award will recognize exemplary domestic workers and labourers, and the companies in the UAE with the best labour and employment practices.

According to MOHRE on Wednesday (May 10), the award will “seek to improve the labour market, acknowledge the work environment of companies, increase productivity and efficiency and enhance the competitiveness as well as the well-being of the country’s workforce.”

For employees, the award will recognize skilled and unskilled workers, with four winners for each category. For companies, there will be 28 awards in six categories.

Awards will also be given to the best domestic recruitment agency, employment agency and business centers.
