DUBAI – A 2-year-old girl fell to her death from the window of a building in Sharjah on Monday (December 9), police said.
The incident comes two days after an Indian teenager plunged to her death from her family’s 10th floor apartment in Sharjah.
Giving details about Monday’s incident, police said the toddler had sneaked into her parent’s bedroom and fell from an open window in the family’s eight-floor apartment in Al Majaz 2 area.
Police said the Syrian girl’s mother was in the kitchen when the child was believed to have climbed onto a chair near the open window and fell.
The girl was taken to Al Qasimi Hospital where she died after arrival.
Police have opened a case and have summoned the girl’s parents as part of investigations. ICA/Expat Media
