TESDA to give free assessment, certification to Filipinos in UAE

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) will provide free assessment to Filipinos in the UAE.

Qualified Filipinos will be assessed and certified without having to travel to the Philippines, according to TESDA Director General Suharto Mangudadatu.

The free assessment will be given to Filipinos whether or not they received their training from TESDA. Those who pass the assessment will receive TESDA’s competency certification, allowing them to get better work opportunities.

TESDA’s overseas assessment program will be held at Power Technical Training Center in Dubai from June 22 to 26.

Among the qualifications to be assessed include Caregiving NC Il, Massage Therapy NC II, Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II and III, and PV Systems Installation NC II, Automotive Servicing (Engine Repair) NC II, Automotive Servicing (Electrical Repair) NC II, Events Management Services NC III, and Trainers Methodology Level I.

TESDA will also hold its free assessment program in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia until June 20, and in Singapore from July 27 to 28. In Saudi Arabia, the assessment will be done in the Universal Skills Development Institute and Filipino Computer & Literacy Program, while in Singapore, it will be held in CARE Academy, Bayan Academy, and Home Academy.
