DUBAI – To celebrate the recent opening of the new Simply Kitchen store in Mall of the Emirates, Expatmedia.net was invited to spend Dh500 to shop in the store.
Of course we couldn’t say no! So we headed to the store in MOE, Simply Kitchen’s third outlet in the UAE.
There, we chanced upon an introductory sale from 30 percent up to 80 percent discount on all items.
Simply Kitchen is a cooking afficionado’s happy place with the range of kitchenware, tableware and bakeware on offer. Items can be pricey, but if you value quality then it’s worth it.
This is why when they go on sale, you shouldn’t miss it!
The inner kid in us was jumping for joy at the sight of the cotton candy maker for sale at Dh100.
We also love their dining plate set made of new bone china, on sale at 50 percent off. Another set, with the last few pieces on stock, was on sale for only Dh120. What a steal!
New bone china contains calcium oxide, making the china whiter, finer and more durable than standard porcelain. It also has a beautiful translucency. When you hold one of the plates up to the light, you can see how fine they are.
We ended up picking items on 50 percent discount: a beautiful cast iron skillet for Dh136, a set of new bone china dinnerware that reminded us of Versace (Dh225), two matching serving dishes (Dh159) and a Luminarc glass set (Dh29), bringing the total to Dh549. MFD/Expat Media
