Families can look forward to 136 days of culture, entertainment and sporting activities when the Sheikh Zayed Festival returns to Al Wathba on October 30.

The Sheikh Zayed Festival will run until March 14, 2027, bringing together Emirati heritage, international cultures, family activities, performances and large-scale celebrations.

The festival is held under the patronage of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the supervision of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court.

For families, the festival will offer a mix of entertainment and learning, with children and young people able to experience traditional Emirati arts, crafts and industries alongside activities showcasing cultures from around the world.

Emirati heritage will remain at the heart of the programme, with traditional sports and practices including camel racing, falconry and maritime heritage giving visitors an opportunity to discover aspects of life in the UAE.

The festival will also feature international pavilions, traditional and artistic performances, interactive activities, sporting events and community celebrations, with new experiences introduced during the season.

Visitors can also expect major seasonal celebrations, including Eid Al Etihad, New Year and Ramadan events, as well as music and entertainment performances by Arab and Gulf artists. Fireworks, drone displays and laser shows will return as well, with some previous displays having set Guinness World Records.
