ABU DHABI – Motorists can heave a sigh of relief after Abu Dhabi’s Parking Division recently lowered fines for traffic violations in the emirate.
According to the Integrated Transport Center of the Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport, the new move is part of its plan to offer the best services and improve Mawaqif, the parking division.
Here are the new fines and regulations:
Illegal parking in residential areas: Dh200 (from Dh500)
Towing of illegally parked cars: Four hours after ticket is issued
Illegal parking in bus and taxi parking bay: Dh500 (from Dh1,000)
Occupying two parking spaces: Dh200 (from Dh300)
Using wrong parking ticket: Dh100 fine (from Dh200)
