DUBAI – Filipino broadcast journalist Raffy Tulfo is in Dubai to visit distressed Filipinos in the emirate.
Tulfo is popular among Filipinos and overseas Filipino workers through his program, Raffy Tulfo in Action, which seeks to solve various issues involving Filipinos. Tulfo has also helped mediate for OFWs in the UAE and the Middle East who are facing issues with their family members in the Philippines.
On Friday (March 8), the journalist arrived in Dubai with his wife and two children. He was greeted at the Dubai International Airport by a group of Filipino expatriates in the UAE.
On Saturday (March 9), Tulfo visited the Philippine Overseas Labor Office-Overseas Workers Welfare Administration in Dubai to check on the condition of Filipinos in the emirate.

Later on Saturday, Tulfo met more Filipinos at the Dubai Mall. Speaking to expatmedia.net, Tulfo said he will be in Dubai until Wednesday before heading back to the Philippines.
He said he will be spending his free time touring Dubai, adding that he is primarily here to see the plight of OFWs.
Tulfo said he was “overwhelmed by the warm welcome” of Filipinos in the UAE.
He said he was happy to see that Filipinos who have sought refuge in Polo-Owwa office are “well taken cared of, in good health” and “happy”.
“I didn’t see anyone who looked depressed,” he told expatmedia.net in Filipino, “At least they are busy with lots of activities and training provided by the government.”
