Desert racing, family attractions and Emirati heritage experiences will return to Abu Dhabi’s Al Dhafra Region when Liwa International Festival 2027 runs from December 11, 2026, to January 2, 2027.

Held around Tal Moreeb, the UAE’s tallest dune at more than 300 metres, the festival will feature motorsport championships, cultural activities and a refreshed Liwa Village, where more than half the rides and attractions will be new or reimagined.

The international action show Nitro Circus will make its debut on December 19 and 20, with more than 15 athletes performing freestyle motocross, BMX and other stunts.

Visitors can also explore traditional Emirati crafts, falconry, Nabati poetry and hospitality customs. A new official festival app will offer event updates and allow visitors to book camping and RV parking spaces. Last year’s edition attracted more than 700,000 visitors over 23 days. CAM/Expat Media
