The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai has completed 75% of the installation of solar power systems on various structures and facilities throughout the emirate.
The project is consistent with the Dubai Government’s vision, the “Shams Dubai” initiative, and the Dubai Clean Energy and Integrated Energy Strategy.
In collaboration with the Dubai Carbon Center of Excellence, the Buildings and Facilities Department has embarked on this initiative to install solar panels on many RTA buildings and facilities (Dubai Carbon).
The project is part of a 20-year partnership with the Dubai Centre of Excellence for Carbon Control to power buildings with clean energy following the Shams Dubai initiative’s goals. BKM/ Expat Media
