The Hanging Gardens in Sharjah’s Kalba area is now open to the public, with 1.6 million square feet of space featuring waterfalls, terraces and plenty of green spaces.

The garden, located on the Sharjah-Kalba Road, was inaugurated on March 8 by Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qassimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

The Hanging Gardens is also home to more than 100,000 trees. The new attraction towers at a height of 281 meters above sea level.

The Hanging Gardens has a central restaurant that can accommodate 215 people and provides views of the gardens and the waterfalls. It also has a 760-metre running track, recreational areas for children, mountain climbing routes and a designated skating zone covering an area of 24,000sqft.

An excursion train can carry up to 55 people through four train stations that will allow visitors to explore different parts of the garden. ICA/Expat Media
