Full UAE weather forecast until Thurs, May 28

 

DUBAI – The UAE weather bureau forecast more rainfall in the country until Tuesday after hail fell in Sharjah and rain of various intensities hit parts of the country on Sunday (May 24).

Hail was reported in parts of Sharjah on Sunday afternoon, while other parts of the emirate experienced sunny weather.

Light to heavy rainfall was also reported in parts of emirate, as well as Dubai, Al Ain and Abu Dhabi on Sunday afternoon.

According to the National Centre for Meteorology (NCM), more rain is forecast to hit parts of the UAE on Monday and Tuesday, with strong winds possibly kicking up a sandstorm.

The weather bureau also issued a warning to drivers to take precaution in case of lower visibility due to heavy rain in certain areas.

The Dubai Police also issued a similar warning to motorists, asking them to leave a sufficient distance between vehicles when driving in the rain.

Sunday, May 24

Fair to partly cloudy, with a chance of some convective clouds formation by afternoon Eastward and Northward, extending to some internal areas, may be associated with some rainfall. Moderate to fresh winds, and strong at times with the clouds, causing blowing dust and sand during daytime. The sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.

Monday, May 25

Fair to partly cloudy, with a chance of some convective clouds formation by afternoon, Eastward and Northward, extending to some internal areas, may be associated with some rainfall. Humid by night and Tuesday morning over some coastal areas. Moderate to fresh Southeasterly to Northeasterly winds, and strong at times with the clouds, causing blowing dust and sand during daytime, with a speed of 20 – 30, reaching 45 km/hr. The sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.

Tuesday, May 26

Fair to partly cloudy in general, with a chance of some convective clouds formation by afternoon Eastward and Northward, may be associated with some rainfall. Humid by night and Wednesday morning over some coastal areas. Light to Moderate Southwesterly to Northwesterly winds, freshening at times, causing blowing dust and sand during daytime, with a speed of 20 – 30, reaching 40 km/hr. The sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.

Wednesday, May 27

Fair to partly cloudy in general, becoming cloudy eastward by afternoon. Humid by night and Thursday morning, with a chance of fog and mist formation over some western coastal areas. Light to moderate Southwesterly to Northwesterly winds, freshening at times, causing blowing dust during daytime, with a speed of 20 – 30, reaching 40 km/hr. The sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.

Thursday, May 28

Fair to partly cloudy in general, and some clouds might appear eastwards by afternoon. Humid by night and Friday morning with a chance of fog or mist formation over some coastal areas. Light to moderate Southwesterly to Northwesterly winds, freshening at times, causing blowing dust during daytime, with a speed of 18 – 28, reaching 38 km/hr.
