A team of good Samaritans helped clear vehicles stuck on a flooded road in Jebel Ali Industrial Area 2 on Thursday (April 18), Expat Media learnt.

Mechanics from Tristar’s Road Transport Operations offered their services for free to help start engines of cars and heavy vehicles that were stalled in the floodwaters. Tristar trucks were used to tow other vehicles to safety. The team was led by Arundhan Alphones, Product Head for Road Transport; and Sujith Ravel, Workshop Manager in Dubai.

The heartwarming community service helped motorists continue their journey through the area, considered a vital link to Dubai’s cement and construction factories.

Since Tuesday afternoon (April 16), the road was unpassable after heavy rain sparked floods that also affected other key roads in Dubai.

Tristar operates road tankers, trailers, and delivery pick-ups across the UAE for oil companies and handle road transport emergency. The company has a round-the-clock Journey Management Room to manage and monitor vehicle movement and driver behaviour, and receive emergency notifications. ICA/Expat Media
