Public beaches in Dubai will be reserved for families during the Eid Al Adha holidays, the Dubai Municipality has announced.

The eight public beaches reserved for families include Al Mamzar Beach, Corniche Al Mamzar, Jumeirah 1, Jumeirah 2, Jumeirah 3, Umm Suqeim 1, Umm Suqeim 2 and Jebel Ali Beach.

The move is intended to manage the high influx of visitors to Dubai’s beaches during Eid Al Adha, said Ibrahim Mohammad Juma, Director of Public Beaches and Water Canals Department at Dubai Municipality.

Juma said that the Dubai Municipality will increase the number of safety and rescue personnel to 140 during the holidays, as well as 65 field supervisors.

The official said that the Dubai Municipality and Dubai Police will closely monitor all operations on public beaches during Eid Al Adha holidays. ICA/Expat Media
