Pay rent through direct payment system in Dubai

The Dubai Land Department has announced the option of paying rent through the “direct payment system” of the UAE Central Bank to improve customer service.

The system stated that tenants could pay rent directly through the Noqodi portal without utilizing checks. The system also offers the option of a payment schedule.

By leveraging technology to create real estate goods and increasing transparency, awareness, and confidence in the real estate industry, the direct payment system will improve business operations and corporate governance.

How does the direct payment system work?

There is a required one-time integration with the Ejari application before residents can fully utilize the Noqodi system. When a new contract is signed or renewed, rental fees will be charged following the guidelines.

The Noqodi portal also asks tenants to link their banks to maintain the Noqodi wallet from which the partner banks would receive direct debit payments.

By requiring tenants and customers to be in person when dropping off or signing payments, the method can save time. The system also supports the department’s initiatives to offer a secure and sustainable real estate system. KD/Expat Media
