DUBAI – The Dubai Metro will open early on Friday (November 26) to accommodate participants of the much awaited Dubai Run, according to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
According to the RTA, the Dubai Metro red and green lines will be open starting at 3:30am on Friday.
The Dubai Run turns Dubai’s iconic Sheikh Zayed Road into a giant running track for 5km and 10km races that start near the World Trade Centre Metro Station.
Both races begin at 6am. Runners will be able to dash on the iconic highway and take in views of the Dubai skyline and must complete the route within two hours.
The shorter 5km route takes runs through Sheikh Zayed Road, passes through a part of Downtown Dubai and around Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).
The longer, 10km route takes runners through Sheikh Zayed Road, around Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard and around DIFC.
Participants can collect their bibs at Dubai World Trade Centre’s Za’abeel Halls 5 and 6 until midnight on Thursday (November 25). ICA/Expat Media
