The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that Dubai Metro services on Thursday (May 2) will be extended to help commuters during the unstable weather conditions.

The Dubai Metro will run from 12am to 5am the next day. As of 1:27pm, Dubai Metro stations were still running under normal operations despite windy conditions and rain, commuters told Expat Media.

Meanwhile, RTA staff at BurJuman station told Expat Media that trains will not stop at Onpassive, Equity, Mashreq and Energy stations due to ongoing maintenance work.

On Wednesday, the RTA announced that trains departing from Centrepoint station will only stop in four stations: Emirates station, Airport Terminal 1 station, Airport Terminal 3 station, and GGICO station.

The RTA said that taxis will be dispatched at Centrepoint and GGICO stations to transport passengers to their destinations. ICA/Expat Media
