A 35-year-old Arab man is on trial at the Dubai Criminal Court for breaking into a property and taking Dh45,000, Rolex watches, and mobile phones from a safe.
The accused also assaulted the police officers on the scene.
In July, the villa’s owner, a former police officer, reported a theft at Al Raffa Police Station in Al Mankhool while he was away. The door of his house was broken, and the safe was missing.
A CID squad investigated several villa thefts. After a thorough investigation, the crew identified and arrested the suspect.
The suspect resisted arrest and injured an officer. During interrogation, he confessed to having committed the thefts in the area. BKM/ Expat Media
