The Dubai Fitness Challenge will return for its 7th edition on October 28, organizers announced.
The month-long fitness initiative will run until November 26 and is aimed at transforming Dubai into one of the world’s most active cities.
The Dubai Fitness Challenge encourages residents to adopt a healthier lifestyle with 30 minutes of exercise every day for 30 days.
It is the initiative of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council.
Two of the biggest event highlights of Dubai Fitness Challenge are Dubai Run and Dubai Ride. This year’s Dubai Run will take place on November 26. The event, which transformed Sheikh Zayed Road into a giant running track, attracted more than 193,000 runners of all ages and abilities last year.
Meanwhile, Dubai Ride will take place on November 12. Sheikh Zayed Road will be closed to traffic to allow cyclists of all abilities to finish the friendly race. Last year, Dubai Ride attracted nearly 35,000 cyclists. ICA/Expat Media
