Covid-19 in UAE: 1,519 new cases, 2 deaths in 24 hours


DUBAI – The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) announced on Sunday (August 1) that 1,519 new coronavirus cases were recorded in the last 24 hours.

This brings the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 682,377.

According to the Ministry, the infected individuals are from various nationalities, are in a stable condition, and receiving the necessary care.

Meanwhile, an additional 1,466 individuals had fully recovered from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries to 659,664.

MoHAP also announced two deaths due to Covid-19 complications, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 1,951.

The Ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the families of the deceased and wished Covid-19 patients a speedy and full recovery.

The ministry said that it conducted 284,403 additional Covid-19 tests over the past 24 hours, using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment. ICA/Expat Media
