Coronavirus in UAE: No entry for returning expats

DUBAI – Expatriates who are returning to the UAE from trips abroad will not be able to return for two weeks beginning at 12pm on Thursday (March 19) as part of new measures to combat the spread of the new coronavirus or Covid-19.

Only Emiratis who are returning from trips abroad are allowed entry to the country.

This new directive comes a day after the UAE banned Emiratis from travel and implemented a mandatory 14-day home quarantine for all travellers returning to the UAE.
