DUBAI – Chicking is expanding further in the UAE with the opening of a new outlet in City Centre Deira.
Maqbool Modi, Chicking Operations Director for UAE, said that the outlet at one of the busiest malls in Dubai is set to open on April 1.
A new Chicking outlet is also opening in Silicon Oasis and City Centre Al Zahia in Sharjah, bringing Chicking’s number of branches in the UAE to more than 20.
The homegrown quick service restaurant chain started in Dubai in 2000. Now, Chicking already has more than 180 outlets in 23 countries in the UK, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia. It is the first fully Halal quick service restaurant chain in the world.
“Finally, now that Chicking is a popular brand in the market, everybody is offering that we open in big malls. Before, we would apply to open an outlet in the malls and they wouldn’t give us space,” Modi said.
“We struggled a lot, but once we entered the market, it became easy as people embraced the brand and our products,” he added.
What is the secret to Chicking’s sustainable growth? “Two things only: Quality—we try to give the best—and service. Best quality and best service,” Modi said.
He added that Chicking’s curated menu for all palates also contributes to its success. “We have many choices in the menu—pizza, spaghetti, chicken, burger, wraps. There’s something for everyone.”
Following the successful launch of the peri-peri chicken at Chicking outlets in New Zealand and the UK, Chicking outlets in the UAE are set to offer the popular dish in the menu, Modi revealed.
“Hopefully once we open the new outlet in April, we can start serving peri-peri chicken. But some franchisee outlets already have it, like in the UK where there is good customer response to it,” Modi said. Chicking’s signature chicken comes fried or grilled. ICA/Expat Media
