Angel’s Burger Franchising Food Corporation said it is taking legal action against a newly opened Angel’s Burger outlet in Dubai and warned customers against the “illegal establishment”.
“Angel’s Burger Franchising Food Corporation has discovered the unauthorized use of the company’s registered trademarks in the UAE. This infringement violates intellectual property rights and raises concerns about the safety, quality and integrity of the food products being sold under the Angel’s Burger name by this illegal establishment,” according to Angel’s Burger in a statement.
“Our legal team, together with the UAE authorities, is doing everything possible to rectify this situation promptly. This serves as a public warning to our customers to be cautious of the establishment they patronize. We strongly advice everyone to only purchase from legitimate Angel’s Burger branches,” Angel’s Burger added.
The imitation Angel’s Burger outlet in Dubai recently opened in front of the Delta Supermarket along Al Rigga street. It has been drawing a long queue since it opened, fueled by its “Buy 1 Take 1” offer. The cheapest burger in its menu cost Dh10. There is yet no statement from the outlet as of this publication.
In the Philippines, the Angel’s Burger franchise is popular due to its affordable, street-style burgers. It is also known for its “Buy 1 Take 1” offers. ICA/Expat Media
