DUBAI – Alden Richards and Julie Anne San Jose – two of the biggest Filipino stars – will be joining Filipinos in the UAE for a virtual celebration of Philippine Independence Day on Friday (June 12), organisers confirmed.
Filipino Social Club (FilSoc) President Ericson Reyes told Expatmedia.net that the stars will have a special participation and that FilSoc will be live streaming the online Philippine Independence Day celebration from Dubai starting at 11am.
The live stream will also feature appearances by singers Golden Cañedo and Garrett Bolden.
Viewers can log on to facebook.com/FilipinoClubUAE to participate in the daylong e-celebration that is going to culminate in the lighting up of the Burj Khalifa in the colours of the Philippine flag at 9:15pm.
Filipinos in the UAE will have the chance to win a round trip ticket from Cebu Pacific in the Pinoy Trivia segment starting at 5pm.
They can also tune in to watch the best crooners in OPM Hugot Songs and find out who are the exemplary Filipinos in the UAE in the Gawad Pinoy Senior Citizen and Gawad Pinoy 2020 awards. ICA/Expat Media
