Abu Dhabi shuts down 325 businesses with Covid-19 cases

 

DUBAI – Hundreds of businesses were shut down in Abu Dhabi after authorities detected Covid-19 among their employees or other violations of precautionary rules.

According to the Abu Dhabi Economic Department on Tuesday (February 16), 354 business establishments were shut down for violations.

Of that number, 325 establishments in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra were closed after authorities found out that their workers were Covid-19 positive.

Another 29 facilities were shut for not implementing preventive measures against the spread of Covid-19, including the failure of staff to wear face masks and lack of social distancing. ICA/Expat Media
