Only 80% capacity allowed at UAE National Day events

DUBAI – UAE authorities have announced new rules for those attending National Day events, setting an 80 percent capacity at venues.

The new protocol was announced on Tuesday (November 23) during a media briefing. The UAE marks National Day on December 2.

As part of the new rules, the audience capacity must not exceed 80 percent. Attendees must wear a face mask in closed or crowded areas, and social distancing of 1.5 meters must be followed. Members of the same family are allowed to sit or stand together.

Vaccinated individuals from all age groups are allowed to attend events, provided that 14 days have passed since the date of their full vaccination, along with the implementation of a booster shot or Green Pass on their AlHosn app.

Organizers are required to monitor the entry and exit of attendees and prevent overcrowding.

Advance National Day celebrations are underway, with the Golden Jubilee Celebrations Committee inviting the public to nationwide events marking a 50-day countdown to the 50th UAE National Day on December 2.

On December 2, the UAE Golden Year Music Festival is happening at Festival Arena, with popular Danish band Michael Learns To Rock and American cover band Boyce Avenue taking the stage. Emirati Take Flight hitmaker Alira is also performing as a special guest.

Tickets are available on Platinumlist, Virgin Megastores or Book My Ticket. Get them here
