7 new mosques rise in Abu Dhabi

 

DUBAI – Construction of seven new mosques has been completed in Abu Dhabi during Ramadan, according to the Department of Municipalities and Transport.

The mosques are located in Abu Dhabi island, Al Shamkha, Shakhbout, Jebel Hafeet, Al Amira South and Al Sila city.

The mosques feature a main prayer hall, with a prayer hall for women and male and female ablution areas. They will be able to accommodate a total of 3,000 worshippers.

Abu Dhabi plans to open 20 new mosques in the UAE capital. So far, 15 out of 20 planned mosques have been completed. ICA/Expat Media
