DUBAI – Six Asian men have been accused of breaking into a warehouse in Dubai and stealing 156,000 face masks worth Dh150,000.
The men stood trial at the Dubai Court of First Instance for the June 18 incident. The court heard that the men stole 156 boxes containing 1,000 face masks each at 2am.
The robbery was discovered after the 38-year-old Chinese employee visited the premises at 9:30am and found the warehouse in Ras Al Khor ransacked.
Police were able to track down the suspects, all South Asians, and arrest them. Police said that during interrogation, the men admitted that they sold the masks to a Bangladeshi man.
