DUBAI – A Filipino expatriate in the UAE, and two others from the UK and Pakistan are sharing the Dh1 million second prize in Mahzooz during the September 11 draw, organisers revealed on Thursday (September 16).
Nestor, a 42-year-old Senior Engineer in Dubai, said winning in the draw was a “dream-come-true”. He will be taking home Dh333,333 as his share.
“I couldn’t believe myself when I saw the winning numbers on the screen. It took me some time to come to my senses and my joy knew no bounds,” Nestor said.
“My 11-year-old son started dancing after seeing me and my wife jumping in the air in happiness,” he recalled.
The Filipino said he will invest the money that he won in his son’s education.
“I was struggling to meet the educational expenses of my son with my current salary. However, he can have a brighter and better future with this prize money,” he said.
Other winners included Irfan, a 35-year-old PRO in Dubai, and Moamen, a 39-year-old operations manager in Dubai.
The next Mahzooz draw will be held on Saturday (September 18) at 9pm. ICA/Expat Media
