3 Europeans stranded on Ras Al Khaimah mountain rescued

Three European hikers who were stranded in a mountain in Ras Al Khaimah have been rescued, according to Ras Al Khaimah Police.

Lieutenant Colonel Pilot Abdullah Ali Al Shehhi, Head of Air Wing Section at Ras Al Khaimah Police, said the trio were stranded at an altitude of 4,000 feet in a mountainous area on Thursday (April 4).

Al Shehhi said that a helicopter was dispatched to airlift the stranded Europeans to safety. Meanwhile, the police official urged hikers to take preventive measures and to avoid rugged areas. ICA/Expat Media
