2 Sudanese found dead near Sharjah mosque under construction

DUBAI – Two Sudanese men were found dead in a caravan parked near a mosque under construction in Sharjah, according to Sharjah Police on Wednesday (September 16).

The victims, in their 40s, worked as engineers for a road construction company. Their bodies were found with multiple stab wounds in their abdomen.

Police found two knives near the bodies. Initial investigation suggested that the victims stabbed each other, but police have not ruled out foul play.

A police investigation into the case is underway.

A Khaleej Times report quoted a relative of one of the victims as saying that they could not have killed each other as they were close friends who shared a room.

The men reportedly left early in the morning to check on the workers they were supervising at the construction site. ICA/Expat Media
