DUBAI – Two new Dubai Metro stations opened to commuters on Tuesday (June 1) on the Expo 2020 Red Line, according to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
The new Dubai Metro stations that opened are Dubai Investment Park Station and Expo 2020 Station.
Their opening comes six months after the launch of Route 2020 made of up Jebel Ali Station, The Gardens Station, The Discovery Gardens Station and Al Furjan Station.
Currently, the Expo 2020 Station is only for use by Expo 2020 employees and other eligible travelers until October 1, before it goes into general use for the public when Expo 2020 officially opens.
Another station will open on October 1 at Jumeirah Golf Estates.
From June 1, journeys of Dubai Metro’s Red Line will shuttle directly between Al Rashidiya Station and Expo 2020 Station.
Jebel Ali Station will be an interchange station for those heading to or coming from UAE Exchange Station.
The opening of the Jumeirah Golf Estates Station will coincide with the opening of Expo 2020.

Thursday: 5am until 1:30am on Friday
