More than 150,000 quarantined in Abu Dhabi since Covid-19 outbreak

DUBAI – More than 150,000 people have been quarantined in Abu Dhabi since the outbreak of coronavirus in the country, officials said.

According to the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DOH) the number includes residents quarantined at home or at a healthcare facility.

The DOH said that many of those who were quarantined tested negative for coronavirus but needed to be isolated as a precautionary measure.

On Friday, the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre announced that notices will be put up at entrances of apartments and homes where people are under quarantine.

The new measure is part of an awareness campaign aimed at curbing the spread of coronavirus in the community. ICA/Expat Media
