ABU DHABI – UAE President Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan sent a message of congratulations to Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte on Philippine Independence Day.
Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, also sent a similar greeting to Duterte.
Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, also congratulated the Philippine president on his country’s independence day.
On Wednesday (June 12), two of Dubai’s landmarks lit up in the colours of the Philippine flag to mark Philippine Independence Day.
For the first time, the Burj Khalifa featured a LED display of the Philippine flag on its façade.
At the Dubai Festival City (DFC), the nightly Imagine laser and music show featured the Philippine national anthem and flag. Both events drew thousands of spectators to the venues. The DFC show will have an extended nightly run until June 15, every hour from 7pm.
