Watch: Looters storm Louis Vuitton store in US

PORTLAND – Masked protesters broke into a Louis Vuitton store in Portland, looting an estimated $85,000 worth of luxury bags.

Looters were caught on video pushing their way inside the store through a broken glass door and later heading out while clutching bags that they stole, some worth as much as $5,400.

According to reports, Apple, H&M and other brands were among the stores looted at the same mall on Sunday.

The looting came as tense protests grew across the US over the case of George Floyd, who died after a police officer pinned him down on the ground with his knee on Floyd’s neck. The officer has been arrested and charged over the incident.

Meanwhile, Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler has declared an emergency and ordered a nighttime curfew amid growing unrest in the city. ICA/Expat Media
